  1. I was near tears watching 4 red tail hawks “playing” in the ski above my home. Their effortless gliding around one another while catching thermals, created flight patterns bringing the infinity symbol to mind. Just as the realization of how precious and rare an event I was witnessing had hit me I heard an unmistakable high pitched sound. Sure enough, just above the pitch of my house, casting on me the shadow of a small air plane, appeared a bald eagle! It dove nearly to the ground, then gracefully pulled up and with 2 slow wing flaps, was gently gliding just above the oak trees . I have NEVER seen a bald eagle around this area before. I have seen and heard them many times while visiting Patoka lake in the summers. However, that’s about 65 miles West of here and a protected habitat. I AM spiritual, and while I am just now learning about spiritual symbolism I am not so naive to think that this rare of an event isn’t something symbolic. I am quite sure somebody somewhere is trying to get a message through but what does THIS mean? 5 birds of prey, 2 different breeds, both usually loners. Four playing with one another directly overhead, and while watching that, kind of a silly peek-a-boo bombing from an eagle without lake reservations 😂… OH, AND ITS MID FEBRUARY! I am long winded and rambling, but I’m excited to hear what you think so I’m trying to paint a picture.

    1. This sounds like an amazing experience! Catching a glimpse of the majestic red-tailed hawk and bald eagle can serve as a powerful reminder that you hold the key to your own destiny and happiness. If you’re interested in learning more about these fascinating birds, I’ve written articles on both that you may find interesting.

  3. I see a hawk in my yard from time to time. Yesterday there were 6 adults in the back yard and the hawk flew in and sat in the tree above us. Then flew away. Later in the day when everyone was gone we saw him from inside the house eating a bird on our fence post. What the meaning of seeing him ripping apart the bird to feed its self?

  4. Within the past 8 months. I have lost my mother, sister and brother. My brother’s death hit me the hardest because we were extremely close. He was my rock!
This morning 4/9/23 on Easter Sunday. My dog was barking at something in the backyard. It was a large hawk. It stayed in the same area the entire day. It eventually died, that same day while standing with its eyes opened.
I’m so puzzled. I don’t understand why it picked my yard as a final destination after all the unforeseen death I’ve experienced in the past 8 months.

I have been the recipient of a few Hawks visiting. One hawk was hanging around my house for a few days. And there was a nest in one of my trees. That was last year. Today I saw another Hawk in my front tree. Took a photo. They have been near me on a couple occasions. Is this a positive? Can I expect change in my life. I have been wondering where I should go in my life now that I’m retired. A purpose ,a guide, where I truly belong. I am single and had some dishonest people in my life and trying to overcome the past. Or am I just reaching?
